Magical Mint Limeade!

Hello! Today was really hot, so I decided to make some lemonade. Turns out we have no lemons. Limes to the rescue! So I made this really yummy Mint Limeade. It is soooooooooo good, and it has something magical about it. It's sweet but not so sweet that you can't taste the lime, but it isn't terribly tart either. It is perfect and thirst quenching, according to my dad.

So  here is my recipe

  • 8 or 9 limes,(and maybe one lemon)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • About 6 cups or however much needed to fill the rest of a pitcher, of water
  • A handful of finely chopped mint.
Start by cutting your limes in half, and juicing them into a pitcher.
Once you have juiced them all,  fill the rest of the pitcher with about 6 cups of water.
After you have mixed together the lime juice and water, add the sugar and stir. The acid in the lime will dissolve the sugar, so you won't need simple syrup.
Chop your mint very finely and stir in.
Pour into glasses with ice, add a lime slice and enjoy!

Like most drink recipes this can be modified, add strawberries or mango if you like!

Hope you enjoy,
Grace

  2. This sounds so easy! I need to buy some limes but I have plenty mint still in my yard.
