If you have ever wanted to learn how to knit, now is the time! Knitting is a great thing to do in the winter,when Christmas is over and you're getting bored of the cold weather. Believe me, knitting is how I survive January. So, you really should learn now! You will need needles and yarn. I am using size 6 needles and chunky yarn.
To get the stitches, you cast on, which creates stitches. Here's how to!
Casting On

| Make a slipknot on one of your needles. Only one needle is needed for casting on. |

| Using the yarn that is going to the ball-not the tail, form a loop |
 |
| Put this loop on the needle and pull tight. |

Repeat the last 2 steps until you have as many loops as you would like the length of your knitting to be.
