Cabled Baby Hat

Recently I decided to make a baby hat because I had gotten some really awesome yarn for Christmas. I had also just learned how to cable, and I wanted to practice so I made this hat. It turned out really cute, and SO easy,so I made a pattern and I am sharing it here so you can make it!

Cabled Baby Hat

Needles: circular needles US size 8
Yarn: 1 skein 5 ply yarn
CO 36 stitches. Join in the rnd.
Rounds 1-5: knit
Round 6: k8, pm,C4F,C4B,pm, k20
Round 7 and 8: k8,sm,k8,sm,k2o

Repeat rounds 6-8 4 more times.
Decreasing
Round 9: k3,k2tog 7 times, 29 stitches
Round 10: K2,k2tog 7 times, 22 stitches
Round 11: k2tog 11 times, 11 stitches
Finishing
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail.Using a tapestry needle, thread the remaining yarn through the remaining stitches. Pull tight, closing up the whole at the top. Tie a knot. Your hat is finished!

This is a great project for if you are just learning how to cable, it has minimal cabling, and it's small. Enjoy the pattern!
